All-on-X Recovery Timeline: Healing Day by Day
Knowing what recovery looks like takes the anxiety out of All-on-X surgery. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how manageable healing is, and understanding each stage helps you prepare for a smooth, comfortable recovery.
The First 24 Hours
After surgery you will rest with your provisional teeth already in place. Mild swelling and soreness are normal and managed with prescribed medication and cold compresses. Stick to soft foods and avoid strenuous activity while your body begins the healing process.
The First Few Weeks
Swelling gradually subsides and your implants begin fusing with the jawbone through osseointegration. You will follow a soft-food diet and attend follow-up visits so we can monitor your progress and ensure everything is healing beautifully.
Final Restoration
After several months of healing, your permanent prosthesis is crafted and secured to the integrated implants. Winter Springs patients leave with a complete, confident smile that looks and functions like natural teeth.
