Dental Implant Surgery: What to Expect

The idea of implant surgery can feel intimidating, but modern guided techniques make the procedure precise, predictable, and far more comfortable than most patients expect. Here is exactly what happens from start to finish.

Before Surgery

We begin with a 3D scan and digital plan that maps the exact position, angle, and depth of every implant. A surgical guide is often printed from this plan so placement is minimally invasive and highly accurate, reducing swelling and recovery time.

During the Procedure

Implant placement is performed under local anesthesia, with sedation available for anxious patients or complex cases. Most single-implant procedures take under an hour, and patients are frequently surprised by how gentle the experience is.

Healing and Recovery

Mild soreness for a few days is normal and managed with over-the-counter medication. Soft foods, gentle rinsing, and following our aftercare instructions keep healing smooth as your implant integrates with the bone over the following weeks.

Implantology & All-on-X at Highline Dental

Highline Dental specializes in advanced implantology and All-on-X full-arch restorations — replacing a full set of missing or failing teeth with a permanent, natural-looking bridge supported by as few as four implants, often on the same day.
